Botshibelo is a village in South Africa dedicated to helping children and familes evolve from poverty. Many of the children in the village are 'orpan's', having lost their parents to Aids. I, Adrian, have been connected to Botshibelo for almost 25 years, having spent time there as a student psychotherapist and counsellor. Quite simply, I fell in love with the place and all that they are doing there.
So, for my 60th birthday, I wanted to do something special for them and organised a special event in Australia called 'RUN WITH us for African Kids'.
People came and ran different distances - from 5 k's to 30k's.
My running mate Daryl and I (The Mad Dogs) ran 60 k's each!
We raised AU$4,400 for Botshibelo.
