It has been a while since I have written a BLOG for my site. It seems that BLOG TIME has its own time frame and something that can be easily missed ... like missing a bus if we do not take notice of the bus timetable .. So, this BLOG is all about being aware of my blog time and how to make amends and make the choice and find the commitment and focus to be more attentive on BLOGGING.
Sitting here typing away at this BLOG seems so different than any other typing and putting out words across my social media platforms. Why is that? Does BLOGGING really have such a different energy - a different feeling than say, typing into FB, LI, Twitter or any of the other platforms?
I sense that it does. I feel that there is something about BLOGGING that is different! Perhaps it is the very word itself - BLOG - and what a strange word it is - BLOG - BLOG - BLOG ...
So that is my rave today - this is my re-connection to BLOG TIME. I trust that you have enjoyed reading it and hope that you can also find some time for your own BLOGGING.
So for me it is BLOGGING OFF TIME ...
Sitting here at my computer today and engaging with a few people on Social Media gave me so much more clarity about what I do and what the Vision of my 'work' is. It gave me so much clarity in what I want to bring, do and share with the world.
I am currently in the process of writing my first ever novel and then want to complete some of the other manuscripts that I have been working on over the years. I know that I want to WRITE - TEACH - TRAVEL.
These are my three key aspects of life. Yes, there are others, and they all fit into these aspects and are part of them, but the title of each of these three is what I focus on and work towards.
What are your three key aspects? - what is it that you work for/towards in your own life?
By being clear about these, it is often easier to stay more focused and on track.
I would love to hear what they are - post away!
Kind regards, Adrian
Writing a Blog every few days is a great way for me to share a few words of what I think and feel and do during the week. It also give me a great sense of connecting, supporting and encouraging people to get more Joy, Contentment, Action and Fulfillment in their lives.
I work with people each week in my capacity as a Master Coach, Teacher and Author and love to see and experience people embrace life more fully and make some positive changes. Sometimes the decisions and choices that people make are not easy and take a lot of courage. It is in these moments in particular, that I get to see the 'Spirit' in people really come alive!
In these moments I really know that what I do as part of my vocational calling is the right thing. I know that what I do is right for me. I love working with other people to help them to get to this place of knowing too, and know, that when people receive this knowing for themselves, something remarkable and magical happens for them.
This something, is best understood by actually experiencing it. It really is the only way of knowing what it is like ... So the invitation goes out to you to explore, find and experience this amazing experience for yourself ... Your first step is to make a move and give me a call!
All the best, Adrian
I am in the process of reading a book by Esther and Jerry Hicks' and Abraham, and had a great experience this morning about 'Vibration', the 'Law of Attraction' and 'Creating My Own Reality'.
I was drying some towels in the launderette and the machine required 'One Dollar' coins to make it operate, so I put one into the money slot and pressed the 'Start' button - But, it would not start ... I pressed the coin return button and tried again, and again and again ... After 4 attempts, and after thinking I would have to put the wet towels in another drying machine, cursing the machine for being faulty, etc - and getting somewhat annoyed ... I looked at the coin in my hand, only to realise that it was a 10 Kroner coin that I had collected from my recent overseas trip.
The big lesson for me today from this experience was that, 'Whatever I put in, has a direct relation and correlation to what happens around me'. It is all about being mindful of the CURRENCY that I use in all that I do.
So, for me, it is about going up another level in my daily Mindfulness and Conscious Awareness in this.
Thank you Universe for today's lesson!
Have a great day - Adrian
Well, yesterday I wrote about it being a marathon day - and today has been the same. I got my (non-techy) head around the terminology of Facebook page and Facebook Profile - thanks to Vanessa, and have put up my new 'Business Page'. It is AdrianHanks.com to flow nicely into my website page of the same name.
So, having made that HUGE technological breakthrough today I feel absolutely fantastic! This is not my area of skill generally, and I know for some it was very basic, but for me, it was EPIC!
So after two marathon achievement days - I wonder what will tomorrow bring?
Enjoy the day - Adrian
What a marathon day today. Do you also get those days where you are 'on fire' and get lots done? I love these days, especially when I set the intention to get certain things done and they get done.
I spent time with my Master-Mind partner of 4 years this morning 'tweaking' and creating and we came up with a few bits of homework that we both wanted to do. And that was started today in my marathon energy and I received so much clarity ... Onward and Upwards!
So today was a day of editing, creating and planning and also organising. I am now feeling so good about what I did today that I know it will carry over into tomorrow for another great day, and then another and another - right in the zone!
This will build up until Saturday - when I will be facilitating
A FREE Meditation Guidance and Training Day with Adrian Hanks
I trust that you also have a great week,
As I come to the end of the traditional working week (Monday - Friday) I am sitting in deep appreciation for what has unfolded for me - physically - emotionally - mentally - spiritually this week. It has been an amazing week of meeting new people, deepening my connection with people I already know and planning a very exciting new project (more on that to come!).
I have also been challenged on many levels emotionally this week and have been very proud in the way that I have stayed focused and stayed in my 'I' presence during these times. In my work I am constantly aware of my own, and other people's Reactions, Projections and Judgements and am pleased with the way that i have been able to stay conscious of this this week, There were many times where I could have behaved much less positively. This is daily work and the more I do it, the better I feel about being me.
I presented a topic dear to my heart, called 'The 12 Senses' this week at Joe's Farm Meditation Group in Rochedale and loved the inter-action with everyone there. I also sat in a Men's Circle this week with 20 other men, which is always a good challenge in terms of Ego, Reactions, Projections and Judgements. Having the knowledge of how to put 'The 12 Senses' into practice is a good tool to have in these sort of meetings, and I put it to good use.
Now to enter the weekend. On Sunday it is both Father's day and my Birthday - so I am looking forward to that very much.
Have a great weekend - Adrian
As 'Thought Leaders' out there in the world, doing our work, many of us love to ask people what they love doing - What is your passion? we ask.
I love this question and I never get bored of asking it. Today I sat with a man for an hour and listened to him sharing his passion - it was fascinating. The only thing was, he was not really living it - not fully and not even by half. In his enthusiasm I could here his Soul and Spirit speaking. I could feel his immense passion flowing from his being, but there it stopped - there at the table. Fear, Doubt and Lack of Self-Belief and Self-Love often get in the way of people trying to live their passion more fully and this was the case with him.
After next week, I trust that things will be different for him, as he has booked in to see me for a personal coaching session to 'Get Himself Back On-Track! - What a courageous thing to do. It takes some courage and commitment to do this and I honour him for that. I also know that this commitment will be well worth it as we work on getting him living his passion a lot more. This is my specialty - this is what I am very passionate about and what I do really well.
I am looking forward to next week and looking forward to seeing this man shine his passion out into the world!
Have a great day - Adrian
Every day there is so much to take in and learn and share. Every morning when I wake up I am ready for another wonderful day on this amazing planet. I feel blessed to have chosen the life that I live. I feel blessed for the people I choose to have in my life and blessed by the choices that I make in what I do as a Vocation. I simply love what I do and am very clear about holding this Vision.
In essence, I love that I am ME. It has not always been this way mind you. There have been times in my life where I did not like ME very much. There have been times when I have not been proud to walk down the street or meet a friend. There have been times where I just wanted the World to swallow me up and spit me out in little pieces. There have been times when i have felt smaller than an Ant. But, thankfully, those days have gone.
Now, I experience myself as a 'Good Man' and someone who can stand tall and get right out in the World. Next week I will be 52 years old and I am looking forward to being, what I jokingly call - A Full Pack of Cards! I feel that life is very full indeed - I don't do 'Busy' - I do 'Full'. It has a much better feel to it when I say it like that.
As I travel through the next couple of weeks, I will be sharing my work in several ways through presentations, workshops and with my Life Mastery Program and I know that whoever connects up with me in this work will be supported on their unique and special journey to bring in some magical changes in their lives. This is clarity and belief that I have in my self and what I bring to the World - and it's a wonderful feeling!
I share this saying with my clients and students - "There is a fine line between Ego and Clarity and walking it takes courage".
All the best, Adrian
I was in a phone conversation with a dear friend this morning and she said some lovely words to me. She said that she admired, and wanted to honour me for, the way in which I get out in the world and do my work. It was very touching.
I went on to explain that it was like sailing - If the yacht stops because there is no wind in the sails, then a 'tack' is needed so that the wind can fill the sails again so that the yacht can keep moving along through the water.
This is how I see life. Sometimes we have to 'tack' to keep moving. I also call this 'tweaking', where I keep tweaking away at things to make them better. I trust that you can also do some 'tacking' and 'tweaking' this week to help you to sail and cruise through life more easily.
Have a great day/night - depending where you are in the world. Adrian
